Where I Stand
Straight talk on what matters most to District 6 — and exactly where I stand on each one.
01
Treating taxpayer money like it's your own — because it is.
After 32 years running businesses, I know how to read a budget, spot waste, and make every dollar count. County government should operate with the same discipline any well-run business does.
I will scrutinize every budget line before approving spending. If something doesn't make financial sense for Union County, I won't vote for it — no matter who's pushing it. Taxpayers deserve a commissioner who understands money, not just politics.
"I will never vote to approve a budget I haven't fully reviewed and understood."
02
A commissioner who votes on facts, not pressure.
I am not a yes man. I never have been. In 32 years of business, I learned that going along to get along is how bad decisions get made. The same is true in government.
Before I cast any vote, I want to know the full details — the numbers, the alternatives, the long-term impact. I analyze every situation on its merits. If it makes sense for District 6, I'll support it. If it doesn't, I won't — and I'll tell you exactly why.
"Every vote I cast will be based on facts and what's right for District 6 — not political convenience."
03
You have a right to know how your commissioner votes and why.
Too many elected officials disappear between elections. I believe your commissioner should be reachable, responsive, and willing to explain every decision they make on your behalf.
Any voter in District 6 who calls me will get a straight answer about how I voted and why. No runaround. No political speak. If I voted yes, I'll tell you why it made sense. If I voted no, I'll tell you exactly what was wrong with it.
"Call me after any vote. I will answer and explain my position — every time."
04
Growing Union County the right way — without losing what makes it home.
Union County is growing, and that brings both opportunity and risk. Roads, utilities, and public services need to keep pace with growth — but not at the cost of reckless spending or destroying the character of our communities.
I will push for infrastructure investments that are well-planned, properly funded, and actually serve the people of District 6. No pet projects. No wasteful contracts. Just smart, responsible investment in what our community actually needs.
"Growth decisions will be driven by community need and sound finances — not by who's connected."
05
A commissioner who understands what it takes to run a business in Union County.
I've been a business owner in this community. I know the challenges — regulations, costs, workforce, and competing with larger markets. Local businesses are the backbone of Union County's economy, and they deserve a commissioner who actually understands their world.
I will work to reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens, support a business-friendly environment, and make sure county decisions don't make it harder for local entrepreneurs to succeed.
"I will always consider the impact on local businesses before supporting new regulations or fees."
06
Keeping District 6 a place where families want to live and raise children.
The people of District 6 deserve safe roads, reliable public services, and a community they're proud to call home. These aren't political issues — they're basic responsibilities of local government.
I will advocate for proper funding of public safety, well-maintained roads and infrastructure, and services that actually serve residents. And I'll hold the county accountable when those standards aren't met.
"The quality of life in District 6 will always be a top priority in every decision I make."
